Walk AwayThe Pounds...

I bought the "Walk Away The Pounds" DVD...and did it for the first time today.

It's awesome! I walked 2 miles before I knew it!! It's not just straight walking....there are side steps and front and back kicks, too. All low impact. Also some upper body stuff. It's great! I feel good!!

I recommend it!!

Of course, the gal leading the walk is a bit annoying....but hey, can't have everything, right?? LOL

Great job! Keep it up! Walking is a great way to burn fat, it's low intensity, so it gives your body time to break down fat for energy.

I don't have a Walk it off DVD, but I do have a Chinese Shar-pei (one of those wrinkly dogs), who for what ever reason thinks that my cardio workout (on my elliptical cross trainer) isn't good enough and always wants to take me for a walk afterwards.....LOL!

The PBS gal (over 50) is the worst but she does some good stuff so I keep going back. Keep up the good work!

Yes... getting a dog is good training, supposedly.... when you have no backyard to let them go on their own... we do... ;-(
So, no more dog walking... but we used to walk so much a few years ago, with no dog at all... and now, we are not even walking down the street to get some milk... ;-(
But, as soon as the weather will be nicer, (what should be right now, but it is still snowing!!!!) I planned to walk to work and back from there to home... it is about 25 minutes at a normal speed... If I speed it up, I should be able to do it in more or less 18 minutes... My goal would be to make it in 15 at the end of the summer, let's say, end of August... and maybe take back the dog walks... but our silly Schnauzer is a slow walker... sniffing everything on our way... maybe it isn't of any help anyway... ;-(
